Residents of Kijungu Mbarara were left in shock after a renowned Anglican priest Rev. Lauben Turyasingura, 37, was arrested in a lodge, soddomizing a young man.
Turyasingura, a priest at Kiryaburo Church of Uganda found in Rugaga Sub County, in Isingiro district, was caught red handed in the act on Thursday July 27th at Jemax Lodges in Kijungu, Mbarara, engaging in a despicable act with Moses Ndamuhaki, his alleged victim.
According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi regional police spokesperson, Ndamuhaki a resident of Kamwenge district said he had brought his child for treatment at Mbarara Referral hospital only for the suspect to call him to the lodge and force him into the act.
However, a shameless Turyasingura, dismissed the police account, accusing them of robbing him of money totaling Shs 390,000 instead.
The priest claims that Ndamuhaki showed up in the lodge where he was resting after arriving from Kampala with the police officers and immediately undressed him while the officers took photos.
Police is now looking for further evidence about the suspect before his file can be forwarded to the DPP.
