A 30-year-old man who disappeared from his home in Bushenyi district mid last week has been found dead. The deceased has been identified as Nsubuga Ayebazibwe, a resident of Ihanda Village in Ruhumuro Sub County in Bushenyi district.
According to Marcial Tumusiiime, the Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson Ayebazibwe's decomposing body was discovered near his home on Monday morning. Tumusiime adds that the decomposing body was discovered by the deceased's neighbors.
He says preliminary investigations show that the deceased was killed with a sharp object that left a deep cut on his head, adding that they have handed over the body to Kampala international Hospital - Ishaka to ascertain the cause of death.
Tumusiime adds that they have launched investigations to find the assailants and establish their motive. This is not the first time a missing person in Bushenyi is found dead. Early this year, Hedex Rwamutwe who owned a hardware shop along Bushenyi Main Street in Central Division of Bushenyi Municipality was also found dead following his kidnap.
Unidentified assailants reportedly kidnapped Rwamutwe and drove him in his Toyota Surf vehicle registration number UAQ 567R. He was later found dead in his vehicle in Ibanda district despite the fact his family had paid a ransom of Shillings 500,000 as demanded by the kidnappers.
