One person was killed at Buganda pub in Gulu town, in a bar brawl.
Ssali Wasswa, a resident of Kamuli district and employee of Chinese Company, Zongmei Construction, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a scuffle in a Gulu night club.
He passed on at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital where he was receiving treatment for stab wounds. Reports indicate that Wasswa was attacked and stabbed using a knife during a fight at Buganda Pub, a popular hang-out place in Gulu town, at about 4am on Tuesday.
Gulu district Police Commander, Martin Okoyo, says the attacker held him from behind and stabbed him on his right side, before fleeing the popular hangout.
Okoyo explains that although he is on the run, he has been identified to Police, and four employees of the night club have been arrested to help police in investigating the incident.
According to Okoyo, the four are facing criminal negligence charges after security established that they failed to institute and implement basic security checks at the entrance of the club to deter revelers from entering with dangerous weapons.
It is the first such incident in a major night club in Gulu this year.
