Juma Nsereko, the father of the twins, told police that Ayesiga asked the minors to accompany him to buy paraffin from a nearby shop on Monday evening but didn't return.

Charles Ayesiga alias Julius Kisembo a resident of Mabbale zone in Luweero town is on a run after Police in the same area launched a hunt for him on accusations that he kidnapped five-year-old twins, before demanding for a ransom of Shillings 13 million. 

According to police files, the suspect relocated to Luweero from Kabahara village in Bwijanga Sub County in Masindi district one month ago. It is alleged that Ayesiga kidnapped Sumaiya Babirye and Rahian Nakato on Monday this week. The twins are pupils in top class at Excel Bright View Primary School.

Nsereko further narrates that he was surprised to receive a call from the suspect asking him to send Shillings 13 million if he wants to get back his children. The suspect further asked him to send an advance of Shillings 300,000 to cater for the feeding and medical bills of the children since one of them is sick.

A case of kidnap of the duo was reported to Kasana Police Post, and Paul Kangave, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, says they are tracking down the suspect, adding that they have deployed operatives from the Flying Squad and Crime Intelligence Units to help with the search.
