Residents of Mbiko, Njeru Municipality are in panic after they discovered a body of a woman this morning.
Hadijah Nantongo’s body was on Friday recovered by residents dumped in a maize garden. She was a resident of Nava road village.
Residents say Hadijja’s body had blood stains on the legs and private parts, and they are now are living in fear following the death of Nantongo.
According to residents, Nantongo was a vendor dealing in second-hand clothes. Police has now been tasked to hunt for the people behind Nantongo's murder.
The District Police Commander Njeru Christopher Ruhunde, urged the residents to avail information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“It is bad to lose our resident Hadijja, but I ask you to be calm and give us information in time. If you have information on such an incident, bring it to us in confidence. And ladies, stop walking alone in the night” he advised.
