The police in Kibuku have arrested a 26-year-old man for the murders of his two brothers.
The deceased have been identified as Zaidi Oboi, aged 12yrs and Okwan Ismail aged 05 years, both children of Mr. Waliku Lilayina Ismail and Ms. Nyalema Lydia, residents of Buguna village, Sala Parish, Tirinyi Subcounty, Kibuku District.
ASP Immaculate Alaso PRO Bukedi North Region identified the suspect as Omoding Ayub a step brother to the deceased. It
It is reported that the suspect is mentally challenged.
Preliminary investigations indicate that on Tuesday evening at around 9:00 pm, a fight broke out between the suspect and his stepmother Nyalema.
During the altercation, Ayub grabbed his brothers and hit them down on the cemented ground and outside on a rock smashing their heads respectively.
Residents responded and managed to grab suspect, tied him up before handing him over to police.
He is currently detained at Kibuku Police station, while the deceased bodies were conveyed to Kibuku health center IV for postmortem.
