Officers from Kagadi central police station have arrested two suspects to help with investigations into brutal murder of a 61-year-old man.
The deceased is Benon Bakaine a resident of Kahuuniro cell, Paacwa town council in Kagadi district.
The old man was killed in cold blood on Tuesday night on his way home. His lifeless body was discovered lying a few meters from his home around 9:50 pm with deep cuts on the forehead.
According to Emmanuel Sengonzi the Deputy CID Officer at Kagadi central police station, two suspects are already in police custody to help with investigations.
The Kahuuniro cell LC I Chairperson Elina Kyakuhaire says the deceased was last seen around 8:00 pm on Tuesday evening charging his phone in Paacwa trading center and was shocked to hear that he had been murdered.
Meanwhile, Justus Businge the LC 3 chairperson of the Paacwa town council has cautioned relatives of the deceased against revenge, saying this will cause more problems.
