Security forces are hunting for an unknown assailant who shot dead a private guard and robbed his gun in Wobulenzi town council in Luwero district.
The incident occurred today Wednesday at about 12:30 pm at Advance Smart Micro Finance in Modern Zone in Wobulenzi town.
It is reported that the assailant shot the guard several times and made off with his firearm. Moses Ssebalamu, the LC 3 Chairperson of Wobulenzi, says that the assailant fled toward Wampamba zone and disappeared in the bushes.
By press time, a group of Uganda People’s Defense Force soldiers had teamed up with the police to hunt the attacker.
Police have also cordoned off the scene to gather some evidence that will help them in their search for the killer.
The deceased’s body was also still laying on the verandah of the micro Finance.
