The new semester at Victoria started off on a positive note with students engaged in a fun outdoor event at Kampala Parents School. This saw students from different faculties play, swim , run and enjoy different sporting activities.
All work and no play make Jack a dull BOY; so they say. One would imagine that on a Saturday evening the Kampala city would be silent. This weekend was different because Victoria University was welcoming its new students.
As is the culture it was a great pleasure to see students welcome their fellow students during a well-coordinated fresher’s party. The theme of this party was “Masquerade Ball”
The party involved dancing, eating and mingling with students from all the different faculties and the different years. This new group included students from new countries like Madagascar, Sierra Leone and Chad among many others. Previous parties for freshers have had different themes including “OLD SKOOL”, “RED and WHITE POOL”party which the students have welcomed and adhered to.
This weekend however it was free style and this meant the students were treated to different tastes of class and color. The décor sent the mood which was to enjoy university life and emphasize the importance of having a social life and networking.
The party went on all evening and students were treated to the best music from different genres, they danced the night away while enjoying Victoria University and all it has to offer ; including a well prepared barbeque with wines and drinks
Enjoy the photos…Cheers to a fruitful and successful journey at Victoria.
