Three students have been arrested as Makerere University students’ strike entered day two.

The protests that have entered day two are against paying 100% tuition fees in 7 weeks.

However today, things went out of hand as students nearly killed a lecturer and students who were found in class conducting lectures like life was normal at the Ivory tower.

The rowdy students burnt down properties inside the troubled campus, and broke glasses at the faculty of forestry building while trying to force the custodian to open the door and serve them the fellows who were studying inside.

The students and a lecturer would later be rescued by the anti-riot police. Two cars A Mercedes Benz UAG 682T a Toyota Corolla UAD 851 P that were parked at the main library were vandalized
