Fox has slated a midseason return for its six-episode event series Prison Break, which reteams the cast and crew of the original four-season series that aired on the network from 2005-2009. The trailer dropped today following Fox’s upfront presentation.

This time, clues surface that suggest Wentworth Miller’s Michael Scofield, who was thought to be dead, isn’t. His brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) reunites with Michael’s wife (Sarah Wayne Callies) and some of his fellow Fox River State Penitentiary escapees to find Michael — now himself locked away oversees — and engineer a breakout. Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein return.

Fox has set the series for a Thursday 9 PM time slot when it launches, using Rosewood as a lead-out. The original producing team including series creator Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead will return to executive-produce the new series — it sure has the original’s feel at least here. Scheuring is showrunner-writer.
