Under the Tobacco control Act (2014) which will be effective starting tomorrow , anyone found smoking in public will be charged accordingly. The law condems smoking near public facility like school or hospital with in a radius of 50metres .
Adocacy officer at Uganda National Health Users /Consumer organisation Mable Kakunda coughed out saying 'anyone found smoking in 50 meters length to a public place with be fined heavily or face arrest and be sentenced to five months in jail or both fine and jail depending on the judges' decision.
The law also prohibits sale, dealing of cigarettes or any related products to children under the ages of 21.
So the likes of Sheebah should be warned.
