In April this year, City promoter Edward Miiro dragged Kadongo Kamu singer, Fred Sebatta to police over failure to pay a loan of Shs 4M.
It was reported that Edward extended the loan to the singer three years back when he was indebted. He had promised to pay same year something he didn’t do.
Information we landed on is that Sebatta has been pleading with Gen. Salim Saleh to save him and his failing music career. Saleh gave him the 4m cash. Sebatta didn’t hide his excitement as he told everyone how he has been saved from being prisoned.
While appearing on NBS TV late night show, he bragged how he knows Gen. Salim Saleh on personal level. “We know so many people in government, you just see us moving. Saleh is my personal friend. We have dealt together so many times and we are still in touch. People shouldn’t be surprised that he gave me money” He bragged.
Sebatta survived spending months in prison after being summoned several times. One time, he fled from credit collectors who had camped at Pope Paul Hotel where Lord Fred Sebatta has gone to perform. He was tipped off and disappeared in thin air.
