Though reportedly amicable, the split is especially unfortunate given that the two are locked into filming at least one more X-Men movie together. That should make for some awkwardly long hours in the makeup chair for the two bluest characters in the franchise.
And though we’ll miss the adorable picture the pair made at awards ceremonies . . .ADVERTISEMENT
. . . it’s pretty safe to assume that, as two of Hollywood’s most attractive and talented young actors, they’ll be just fine on their own. In a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, Lawrence seemed to have a pretty clear picture of the practical difficulties of building a relationship around two very busy acting schedules:
We’re so young that it would almost be like if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We’d be living together. At least this way he’s in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other.
And while Lawrence has never exactly exhibited expected or “typical” behavior, we’re pretty sure that if she does choose to handle this breakup in the most stereotypical way possible (booze, food, lying low), she’ll be well equipped for the job.
