Bell Lager will officially sponsor the annual Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFA). The sponsorship is towards the music experience at the awards which has been dubbed the Bell Jamz music experience.
The onset of this sponsorship has enabled the organizers to include music as a strong component of the annual awards that have previously been more focused on style and fashion.
The awards are slated for December 8th at the Kampala Serena Hotel and this time round feature a strong music line-up comprised of performances by both local and international music artists.
“Under our Bell Jamz music platform, we have continued to deliver fresh and exciting music experiences and we are pleased to be working with the ASFA’s this year to amplify the music experience. This is not a one-off sponsorship. We are committed to working with Abryanz to grow this platform in the coming years,” said Estella Muzito, Head of Beer at Uganda Breweries.
The ASFA’s were introduced to recognize the talent and efforts of the best designers and stylists in the world of fashion in Africa. Previous editions have been hosted with a lot of glitz and glamor attracting Africa’s top A-list celebrities and fashion enthusiasts.
Ugandan artists lined up to perform at the awards this year include Fik Fameica, Latinum, Desire Luzinda, Hellen Lukoma, Ykee Benda and Eddy Kenzo. The awards will also be headlined by South African music duo, Mafikizolo who are expected to jet into the country on December 7th ahead of the awards.
“With the addition of music, this year’s awards will only be bigger and better. Thanks to this boost we have received from Bell Lager, we will be working with renowned designer, David Tlale to produce and pull off the fusion of music and fashion. Locally, he will work with Fenon Events and I am confident it will be fantastic,” said Brian Ahumuza, proprietor of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFA).
The organizers also revealed their plan to have professional and choreographed rehearsals with artistes to ensure success on D-day. This will happen in the week leading up to the event.
Tickets are currently being sold at Abryanz outlets with a heavily discounted early bird ticket offer.
