Renowned music promoter, Balaam Barugahara became the recipient of vitriol from social media after claims emerged that he had played a role in stopping Bobi Wine's Kyarenga show.
The concert was billed to take place at Namboole Stadium only to be cancelled twice.
Unknown promoter, Bajjo, came out to call him a spy within the music business. He also alleged that he connived with Bebe Cool and Catherine Kusasira to convince President Museveni to stop Bobi Wine's concert.
However Balaam, who is a government support cleared air saying the allegations that he influenced the cancellation of Bobi Wine's concert are baseless since he has no powers to stop any concert.
Balaam says he actually tried to assist the show organisers with necessary advice.
"They went to seek police's protection without booking Namboole first which was wrong," he says.
He adds, "Bobi is a very good friend of mine. We talk. We work together, even when we differ on political thinking. He knows I can't stop his concert and I have not heard him say a thing about me. I am sure he can't. We're friends".
