Just days after Wasafi record C.E.O Diamond Platinumz extended an olive branch to his arch rival, Rockstar Africa CEO Alikiba inviting him to perform during Wasafi Festival, the latter has declined.
Through a social media post, Kiba said he had received Diamond’s greetings and message, but he would not be available because of other business engagements.
“Pia ndugu zangu #Wasafi tumepata salamu zenu, nashukuru kwa mualiko wenu, ila kwa bahati mbaya sitoweza kushiriki kwa sasa kutokana na majukumu ya kuzindua Mofaya katika nchi zingine,” read part of his statement.
The Seduce me hit maker went on to say that despite his unavailability, he would like to show his support for Wasafi Festival with his Mofaya Energy drink as one of the sponsors in a bid to continue the growth of the Tanzanian arts industry in Africa.
“Hata hivyo tusingependa kuwaacha hivi hivi, tupo tayari kuwapa support ya kudhamini tamasha lenu kupitia #MofayaEnergyDrink ili kuweza kusukuma mbele gurudumu la maendeleo ya sanaa yetu Tanzania na Africa,” he narrated.
Alikiba further disclosed that the two management labels, Wasafi and Rockstar Africa, are in talking terms to ensure there is a partnership at the end of the day.
“Management #RockstarAfrica yangu tutaendelea kuwasiliana nanyi tuweze kufanya hili jambo kubwa.”
