After the Celebrated American RnB musician, Joe Thomas who jetted into the country on Tuesday afternoon and is scheduled to perform at the 7th annual Nile Gold Jazz Safari this Friday, 3rd October ditched his own Meet and Greet party that was held at Guvnor last night.
Seven-time Grammy Award-nominee, Rhythm and Blues artist and performer Joe Thomas is in ready now to star perform the seventh Nile Gold Jazz Safari, which is to take place at Kampala Serena Hotel tonight.
“Uganda! Africa! I’m headlining the Nile Gold Jazz Safari on Friday, October 3,” Joe tweeted on his official Twitter account on September 19.
This is Joe’s second concert in Uganda. He was last here in 2008 and performed at Lugogo Cricket Oval on December 5, for a single concert.
Winston ‘Tshaka’ Mayanja, one of the organisers of The Jazz Safari, says Joe was an easy choice to star perform the Jazz Safari this year.
“Joe is a complete artiste. He is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, singer and producer,” Mayanja said.
He further explained that it is about the pedigree and longevity of an artiste, referring to Joe. “That’s what I consider,” he added on why he chose the international R’nB star.
