For over two months, the UG Connect Concert has been happening on weekends and airing on leading TV stations.

The E-Concert was started as a way of creating revenue for local musicians and also giving them a chance to perform for their fans  virtually after
almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show also aimed at spreading hope to Ugandans through music, dance, and drama.

The latest news on our desk indicates that Operation Wealth Creation which majorly funded the project has decided to withdraw for reasons yet to be identified.

For the past weekend, the concert did not happen because there were no funds to facilitate it.

This comes at a time when top local musicians met opposition leader and singer, Bobi Wine, who is a strong critic of the activities of Operation Wealth Creation led by Gen Salim Saleh.
