Musician Carol Nantongo recently announced her concert, scheduled for December 6th this year at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
The concert received a boost after being endorsed by Ugandan band music pioneers, who urged fans to turn out in large numbers.
Artists including Mesach Semakula, Catherine Kusasira, Ronald Mayinja, Maureen Nantume, Haruna Mubiru, and Seruga attended Nantogo’s press conference on Wednesday afternoon, calling on Ugandan music fans to support her.
Notably, Carol Nantongo began her career with the Golden Band under the guidance of Mesach Semakula and Ronald Mayinja.
Even after leaving the band, she has managed to sustain her career despite the many challenges faced by artists in Uganda.
