Faded comedian Afande Kerekere was once a force to reckon with in the comedy industry. His shine dimmed slowly until he decided to quit.
During an interview with a diaspora channel, Kerekere debunked claims that he retired because he was no longer getting bookings.
“I never did comedy as a job. Comedy is just part of me. I never went to school to study the trade. I did it for fan, so the notion that I left because I wasn’t earning is wrong,” he said
“I left because I wanted to change the environment. Uganda was starting to bore me,” claimed.
He currently stays in the USA.
