Band artiste Irene Namatovu has said that she has no intentions of joining politics.
Namatovu explained in an interview that people keep telling her to follow in the footsteps of her husband, Geoffrey Lutaya, but she is not interested.
“The idea hasn’t sunk in. I am happier when I am supporting my husband on the sidelines,” she said in an interview.
Namatovu is believed to harbor political ambitions. She went back to school to obtain the Uganda Advanced certificate of education (UACE), a key requirement to stand as a Member of Parliament (MP)
