Trespasser Killed at Spice Diana's Residence

Police in Katwe have launched investigations into circumstances under which a suspected thief was beaten to death for reportedly trying to rob Star Gal Spice Diana, real name Namukwaya Hajara Diana.

The deceased, Nsamba Henry, 27 is a resident of Ngobe Central Zone, Bunamwaya Division Makindye Ssabagabbo Municipality in Wakiso District and was at the time of his death, allegedly employed as a bricklayer in the area.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson says the suspect was attacked and fatally beaten by a group of angry locals on allegations that he was a thief.

Owoyesigyire says the security team at the residence of Spice Diana dragged the deceased out of the singer's residence after he trespassed and climbed over her wall fence, on June 30, 2022, with the intent to rob her.

He further explains that Nsamba was greeted by a group of locals armed with stones and clubs outside the house who immediately beat him without caring for his life.

He says police responded to the scene and the victim was rescued and taken to Mulago hospital where he died on arrival.

Owoyesigyire told the press that police are hunting for the mob behind Nsamba's beating and are looking to charge them with murder. He says no arrests have been made so far although police visited the crime scene and recorded statements from eyewitnesses and relatives.
