Many Nigerian artists can't resist coming to Uganda and their music has taken over Ugandan airwaves and is played in almost every bar in Kampala.
This has slowly pushed Ugandan music off the charts.
Since this year began, several Nigerian artists like Tiwa Savage, Fireboy, and Joeboy have been in Uganda to headline big concerts.
While a number of them are still lined up, stakeholders in the industry continue to blame promoters for ignoring local talents for Nigerian musicians. Galaxy FM boss, Innocent Nahabwe thinks Ugandans are forcing themselves on Nigerians who can't love them back.
“I only wish Nigerians would reciprocate the love and give our Ugandan artists some big shows like you guys are doing here. It's like Ugandans are in a relationship with these Nigerians. Every nightclub loves them but they don't love us back. Sad! UG Ziki needs to take the lead but,” he posted.
Innocent Nahabwe is known as one of the biggest supporters of Ugandan music.
