The parliament through the Speaker of Parliament had announced that the event wouldn’t happen under the pretext that it promotes immorality.

According to Ragga Dee, the parliament was based on misinformation to cancel the event and ought to do better.
“They did not consult stakeholders like myself or other promoters, local people about this event. This would have helped them understand the importance of this festival. There’s nothing that markets a country like music,” Ragga Dee explained.
The festival was later cleared by the Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja.
