Producer Washington raised eyebrows a few days ago when he posted on his wall demanding for his royalties for songs he did with local musicians.
The interpretation for many was that he has run broke.

In a new interview, Washington has denied the allegations, saying that his motivation is the need to streamline things in the music industry.
“I am fighting for the producers who are coming up. I want them to understand their rights. I am also tired of staying silent about the right things that should be done,” he said.
On whether he wasn’t paid by musicians, Washington said they only paid for studio time which is different from royalties.
