Akram Gumisiriza spent most of the past week behind bars after being arrested on allegations of rape and not paying a Kandahar vendor after enjoying her beans.
However, Kulthum, who had been out of the country, rushed to the defense of her husband, stating that all the allegations were untrue and unjustified.
She also claimed that people were jealous of their marriage, which was the reason behind the false accusations against her husband.
"Some people have failed to come to terms with our marriage. They are scared and very jealous of our relationship. None of those allegations are true, and they don't hold water. Let my man be," she said.
Kulthum added that she and her husband were already planning to celebrate their first marriage anniversary.
