Musician Priscilla Zawedde aka Azawi collaborated with Koshens on the song "Summer Bae," which is currently enjoying airwaves.
Azawi explained that Koshens reached out to her first for the collaboration.
Azawi said that while on her music tour in Kenya, she performed Koshens' "Couple Up" on radio, and the video went viral, reaching Koshens.
He then hit Azawi's DM, and the two started chatting. Azawi asked if they could do a remix of "Couple Up," but Koshens suggested a collaboration instead.
"I performed his song 'Couple Up' while on radio in Kenya. The clip went viral and reached Koshens, who asked his Kenyan friends about me. That's how he got to my inbox. Initially, I asked for a remix of 'Couple Up,' but he suggested doing another song, and that's how 'Summer Bae' came to life," she said in an interview with a local television.
Azawi has always revealed that the Jamaican legend is one of her biggest inspirations in music.
