Recently, Balaam Barugahara was appointed as the state minister of gender in charge of youth and children.
His appointment generated much excitement among the youth and music lovers in Uganda. Many believe that Balaam is the right person for the job due to his popularity among the youths.
On Monday, following his vetting, the events promoter revealed that he would start by asking the President to release NUP political prisoners.
He stated that they would be rehabilitated to reintegrate back into society for the betterment of the country.
"I know many of you are supporters of the National Unity Platform. I will fight to ensure that the political prisoners are released. I will request the President to release all NUP supporters, and they will undergo rehabilitation to integrate into the country's labor force," he said in an interview with the press.
