On Women's Day in March of this year, Ronald Mayinja held a successful concert at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
This was a sold-out VIP event and brought together thousands of lovers of his music despite his politically controversial statements.
Mayinja explained that he was shocked by the turnout of fans. He never expected to fill the venue to the brim, and the attendance inspired him to focus more on music than anything else.
"I never expected to host a successful concert. Remember, I used to host shows for twenty thousand people, but now it was strictly a VIP event, and still, people turned up in large numbers," he said in an interview with a local television.
Mayinja envisions making it an annual event and is in the studio preparing for next year's show.
