In the year 2026, the general elections will be taking place in Uganda, and different people are already expressing interest in running for different political offices.
Among those is the husband to Muzaata's widow, Akram Gumisiriza, who announced he will be contesting for the biggest office in the country.
Gumisiriza explained he will be running independently, and his symbol will be eyes.
"I will be contesting for the presidency of the country in the next elections, which will be taking place in 2026. I will run as an independent candidate, and the eyes will be my symbol," he said in an interview with a local television.
Gumisiriza believes there is a political gap he wants to fill between the old and the youth of Uganda.
