Actress and Rema's friend Evelyn Namulondo is reportedly considering running for the Makindye West MP position on the NUP ticket.
It's alleged that Namulondo has already presented her aspirations to the party leadership and is among the people they are considering to unseat Allan Sewanyana from his position.
It's alleged that Namulondo, who is a close friend to Bobi Wine and his family, believes their relationship will play a role in securing her the NUP ticket come 2026.
The actress has long been involved in NUP activities and rallies. She is also a common face at the party headquarters and believes she has acquired the knowledge to take on the leadership role.
However, Namulondo is headed for a fierce battle for the NUP ticket if indeed she is considering taking it on, because she will have to compete with the head of Institutions in NUP, David Musiri, and KCCA Speaker Zahrah Luyirika.
Alternative sources also claim Allan Sewanyana is still interested in the position and considers running for the NUP ticket as well.
