Faridah Nakazibwe, a well-known TV presenter and influencer, is at her wits' end with her skyrocketing electricity bill.

She's spent a whopping 200k in just three weeks, and she can't figure out where all the electricity is going. Even though she's been cutting back on using her washing machine and electric cooker, the bill keeps climbing.

Faridah is pleading with UMEME to explain what's going on and offer some solutions. She's shared her frustration on social media, saying,

'I'm using the bare minimum – just a flat iron, fridge, TVs, and a few other essentials. But my bill is through the roof! I'm starting to wonder if I should just sell my jewelry to pay for it.

Full quote:

“Dear @UmemeLtd, I need your help. How is it possible that my small household spends 200k on power for 2-3weeks? I was forced to give up on using the washing machine and the electric side of the cooker. The only electronics I use regularly are the flat iron, refrigerator, 2 tvs, bottle warmer, kettle, and lighting inside the house. Unfortunately, I have spent exactly 1.52m since 19th March 2024 to last night…on power alone.
Munyambe, before I sell my X handle to cater for your bill. Thanks,”
