It was meant to be a ‘VIP treatment’ concert where guests paid Shs 30,000 for ordinary tickets and Shs 50,000 for VIP. Doors were meant to open at 7:30pm, with the concert kicking off with ‘Luyimba ku luyimba’ meaning song after song.
In fact, some guests arrived as early as 7pm only to keep them waiting until late as the organisers were shocked by a largely-empty theatre.
By 9:40pm, the show was yet to start. And like adding salt to injury, little- known Gerald Kikankane attempted to curtain-raise but all he received were insults, with some people throwing plastic bottles at him.

This scared even the MC of the night Simon Peter Ndaula aka Omurangira Ndausi, who sluggishly took to the stage, saying: “Professionally, I will not say anything about this show. We are not the organizers of this show and we are also just hired.”
Thereafter, Bobi Wine and Nubian Lee entertained guests. “Know that you are seated in a space of four people; so, let us try to be lively,” Bobi Wine said as he rolled off his performance. Radio and Weasel didn’t show up.
