In a dramatic turn of events police has confirmed that former Goodlyfe singer Mozey Radio who was arrested yesterday is to be charged with Affray and possession of illicit drugs.
This follows his arrest on Monday from his ‘Neverland’ residence in Makindye after he was involved in a scuffle between his crew that included Pallaso and another led by Jeff Kiwanuka at the Acacia based Casablanca bar and restaurant.
However, when the police had gone to effect his arrest he was found in possession of illicit drugs while in his compound had a couple of marijuana plants being grown. It is after this discovery and his team’s trying to resist his arrest that they then decided to force fully arrest him.
Though it is alleged that in the process he was injured and that he is currently nursing fresh wounds no one is sure he sustained the wound at his home or earlier on when he was fighting.
When we contacted the police spokesman Fred Enanga he confirmed that Radio was to be charged with affray, possession of illicit drugs while the other charge of assault is still pending the police doctor’s report after some of his victims claimed that he had beaten them up.
The penalty for the illicit drug possession is less than Shs 1 million or imprisonment of less than four years or both, drug dealers find it easy to pay the fine and then deal in drugs which earn them billions of shillings.
