Award winning Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o hit the break out spot with a twelve year slave and ever since , the talented actress has been seen in quite a couple of movies and that has kept her acting career on form, hoping for the best in the movie industry.
Lupita Nyong'o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress who has a bachelor's degree in film and theatre studies, Nyong'o worked as a production assistant on several Hollywood films. Well this talent of hers is coming Home to Uganda where she’s set to take a leading role in the movie Queen of Katwe by award-winning Director Mira Nair.
The film is based on the book The Queen of Katwe: A Story of Life, Chess and One Extraordinary Girl’s Dream of Becoming a Grandmaster by Tim Crothers. It tells the story of Phiona Mutesi, who grew up in the slums of Katwe in Kampala, but went on to have a successful chess career. It will be filmed in Kampala.
