Most awards experts expect the Oscars' Best Supporting Actress race to come down to either Jennifer Lawrence for "American Hustle" or Lupita Nyong'o for "12 Years A Slave." Lawrence took the Golden Globes' supporting actress prize this year, and in doing so gave yet another entertaining acceptance speech.
At Thursday night's Critics' Choice Awards, however, it was Nyong'o who won Best Supporting Actress, and the "12 Years A Slave" star provided awards season with its first truly memorable oration. Watch the emotional moment below; Nyong'o and Lawrence are both up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the winner of that trophy will likely move to the forefront of the Oscar discussion. The SAG Awards are presented on Jan. 18.
