Vinka joined the music industry as a dancer, at the time she was backing up Jackie Chandiru.

She later joined Swangz Avenue as a talent manager and started managing Irene Ntale's music career, from whom she got inspiration to start doing music.

However, Vinka faced a lot of challenges starting up, and many people doubted her, including media and music critics.

Many of them argued that her face and voice were not suited for musical success in Uganda and advised her to stick to managing talent.

Vinka didn't listen to any of them and instead focused on doing music. She says these critics just empowered her to work harder to prove them wrong.

"People made me feel like I am nothing, like I am not talented. So I had to work extremely hard to prove them wrong, and I am here now," she partly said during an interview with a local YouTuber.

Vinka was ranked the best female musician in the year 2023 in almost all awards organized in Uganda.
