On the 6th of December 2013, Kyadondo Rugby Club will be the center of attraction and a typical battlefield as Goodlyfe duo of Moses Radio and Weasel will battle Gagamel Entertainment Founder and CEO also 2013 HiPipo Music Awards Artist of the year Bebe Cool
Only time will tell which of the two camps will have the final musical say.
But before the real music battle, a battle of words has already erupted with both Gagamel International and Goodlyfe crew attacking each other.
After Radio and Weasel holding their media briefing last week during which they provoked Bebe Cool, the latter today hosted a press conference to publically confirm his involvement in the 2013 Battle of Champions organized by BK Afrobeat and sponsored by Pepsi, Nation Media Group, Darling and HiPipo.com.
During a press conference held at Alfredo's Bukoto, Bebe Cool noted that while Radio and Weasel have a few good songs, they have failed to grow; continue to call themselves young yet each of them has several kids and wives.
Bebe Cool also said that Goodlyfe's nomination at BET had little impact insisting that BET is working on promoting its brand in East Africa region and thus nominating at-least one musician, duo or group from this region each year.
“I challenge any one of you to bring a video of Radio and Weasel seated in the BET 2013 Auditorium. Whoever brings such a video will receive Shs 10 million from me,” the Tozimba Mutima star added.
Meanwhile, Bebe Cool used the same platform to note that his acceptance to take part in this battle is directly giving Goodlyfe a chance to takeover Bobi Wine and became the third biggest musicians in Uganda.
“Currently, I am the biggest musician in Uganda, followed Chalemeone and Bobi Wine. Radio and Weasel now have a chance of overtaking Bobi Wine and become third in best musicians ranking.”
