The state minister for tourism, Hon. Goffrey Kiwanda Ssubi has today launched the second leg of Tulambule which will see Ugandans take to Busoga region to appreciate Uganda’s beauty.
The trip to Busoga will start on Friday this week, and the participants will be flagged off by the Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi from Chogm grounds in Kampala.
According to Kiwanda, the drive to Busoga will include a stopover at Najjembe in mabira forest for roasted delicacies. The other stop will be at the Jinja Nile Bridge.
“On arrival in jinja, we shall hold a press conference at the Hotel and Tourism Training institute before heading to Kamuli district where we shall meet the speaker of Parliament, the Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga who will tour with us as we climb kagulu hill” said the minister.
Participants will also engage in interesting competitions including a tourism bicycle race from Jinja town to Masese fishing village and winners will get prizes.
The ‘Tulambule’ campaign started recently in Mbarara Ankole region and will continue to other regions.
