UNEB has announced the start of the written Uganda certificate of Education papers for 2016 examination slated to start tomorrow Friday 14th October, 2016 with briefing of candidates.
The actual written examinations will then commence on Monday October 17th 2016 and last until 23rd November.
According to the Executive Secretary of UNEB Dan Odongo, the body has registered a total number of 323,129 candidates from 3,453 exams centers for the 2016 examination.
UNEB has also provided a special period on the timetable for the briefing of candidates. And it has been scheduled for tomorrow.
“During this period candidates should be taken through the regulations and involvement in examination malpractice on examinations that affect them as spelt out on the timetable” said Odongo.
He has appealed to head teachers to conduct the briefing themselves and not to delegate as quite often happens in many schools. UNEB will deploy slightly over 1,600 scouts and security personnel to monitor the conduct throughout the country.
