Hon. Anthony Akol the Kilak North Member of Parliament also the shadow Minister of Finance is fighting for his life after he was rushed to the hospital following an accident along Kampala- Gulu highway.
According to police reports, the accident happened at around 1:00 am when Akol’s driver Felix Ongora knocked a cow along Kafu River in Nakasongola district. They were driving in the MP’s car, a Prado TX.
The duo was rushed to Kiryandongo hospital and later transferred to International Hospital of Kampala (IHK) for further examination.
Kilak South MP Gilbert Olanya says Akol is complaining of terrible chest pain but is reportedly out of danger.
The accident comes after another one in Kampala where one person was confirmed dead at the scene when a truck lost control and rammed into several cars at Kiira Road traffic lights.
