Police in Ntungamo has in custody a teacher on allegations of molesting and sodomizing a 15-year-old pupil at a school he has been working.
The suspect is 23-year-old Iga Sudaisi alias Kagame, a teacher and resident of Kyaruhunga village, Bwongyera subcounty Ntungamo District.
Addressing the media at the weekly press briefing at Naguru Police Head offices, Fred Enanga the police spokesperson said Sudaisi has been sodomizing the victim since February 2018 until last month, and threatened to kill him, if the 15-year-old reported the matter.
“The matter was reported to the police by the victim’s stepmother a one Macklean Mwesigwa, and we want to applaud her for reporting this crime and encourage more victims to report such crimes. We have subjected him to medical examination and results show penetration and rapture of the anus” Enanga said.
He added that police believe there are many other victims in the public and encourages them to bring such incidents to the attention of authorities.
