One murdered in Jinja over the weekend

The Police in Jinja district are investigating circumstances under which  25-year-old Emmanuel Isabirye, a resident of Kayunga village in Mafubira Sub County was brutal killed and his lifeless found dumped in Wakitaka valley.

The Police in Jinja district are investigating circumstances under which  25-year-old Emmanuel Isabirye, a resident of Kayunga village in Mafubira Sub County was brutal killed and his lifeless found dumped in Wakitaka valley.

According to the police report, Isabirye had small wounds around the neck, two small bottles of Uganda Waragi in his pockets and open shoes in his hands. 

His body was discovered by builders working on a small building next to the valley around 9:00am on Sunday and Jovan Kabukye, his friend says Isabirye might have been killed by his business rivals. 

According to the Kayunga Village LC I Vice chairperson Izat Waiswa, there are many unemployed youth who are derailed to commit crime as a means of survival, calling upon security agencies to increase presence in their village and the surrounding areas so as to eliminate cases of theft.  

The officer in charge of Mafubira police station Patrick Mugenyi confirmed the incident adding that they handed over the deceased’s body to Jinja Regional Referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.
