Police in Hoima has shot dead two armed thugs who attempted to rob a mobile money dealer in Lusaka.
The incident happened on Monday night at around 10 pm in Lusaka Kahoora Division Hoima Municipality.
According to Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, the identities of the deceased were still unknown.
He explains that area residents saw the suspected thugs and became suspicious and immediately alerted security operatives who rushed in the area and killed them.
Police recovered a gun the thugs were using at the time they raided the area and the thugs’ bodies have been taken to Hoima Mortuary were they are currently lying awaiting identification.
