Detectives at Kiryandongo central police station have in custody a woman in connection to the brutal murder of 45-year-old George Kyakulagira, a former resident of Kitongoza village. 

The officer identified as PC Jeremiah Mukwana is currently in custody at Hoima City Central Police Station where he was deployed.

Albertine region police spokesperson Julius Hakiza has declined to reveal the particulars of the suspects that have since been concealed for fear of jeopardizing investigations. 

During the break-in, a number of case files were set on fire and completely destroyed. It is not yet known what information was contained in these files or how the destruction of these documents will impact ongoing legal proceedings.

Another gun has been recovered by the Police in the Albertine region. The The rifle registration number UG Pol 303-65933107928 was recovered with two rounds of ammunition was stolen from a private security guard in Hoima city. 

The deceased has been identified as Rose Natulinda, 24, a resident of Kamoroza village in Kyanaisoke sub-county.

One gun has been stolen after unknown assailants raided Kaaka Spare World shop in Hoima Oil city and made off with a firearm belonging to a private security guard. The incident happened around 2 am on Monday morning.
