Police in Entebbe are investigating a case of Suicide by hanging in Abaita Ababiri.
The Officers at Abaita Ababiri Police Station received information today Friday 12/06/2020 at around 9:00am of suicide by hanging from one Naluwere that her son one Kawiso Collin aged 24 years old, a casual laborer and resident of Abaita Ababiri cell was found dead and hanging on a belt inside his room.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy Police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan, a team of detectives from homicide desk from Entebbe was dispatched to the scene and cordoned it off.
Statements were recorded from family members of the deceased.
Owoyesigyire says preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was staying alone and entered his room in the evening of 11/06/2020 at around 6:00pm and locked himself inside.
However, today at around 9:00am when the mother went to call him, she found him hanging dead on a roof pole using a belt.
Upon physical examination of the body, it was already stiff the belt tightly around the neck with the knot on the left side.
No external injuries seen. The body has been taken to City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem examination while inquiries still at hand.
