The police in Rubanda District are investigating the sudden death of Mwesigwa Apollo a resident of Ruhasya cell, Bushura parish in Bubare Sub County. The deceased’s passing was reported to Bubare police by Tushemerirwe Magret the area Chairperson on Monday.
Mwesigwa’s body was found lying in the garden of sorghum at approximately 15 metres away from his home.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson says ASP Patho OC Bubare police station and regional Surgeon visited the scene for postmortem. The Autopsy indicated the cause of death was strangulation.
Maate says inquiries are underway by the district CID officer to a certain the Perpetrators and for which reason.
In a related development, Police in the same district are investigating the murder of one Arinaitwe Bruno male juvenile aged 10years son of Arinaitwe Innocent of Buhanyura cell, Kashasha Parish, Bufundi Sub County in Rubanda district.
Oc Bufundi, Sgt Byaruhanga Henry says the murder happened on Sunday night.
It is alleged that on the 5/7/2020 at around 11pm, the deceased together with others were at home when their father returned home while too drunk and started quarreling over nothing.
In the process, Innocent slapped Bruno unconscious and he died instantly in the bed room.
Police was notified, visited the scene and postmortem was done. Elly Maate says inquiries are ongoing and efforts to trace for the suspect who is the run are being made so that is apprehended and brought to book to answer charges accordingly.
