Fortebet has continued to show its commitment to fighting the deadly COVID-19.
This time, Fortebet went to the rescue of Jinja regional referral hospital and donated sanitizer and face masks worth over 10 million.
The donation was handed over by Fortebet ambassador, Alex Muhangi together with the media manager, John Nanyumba to the hospital administration, led by the principal, David Ssemakula.
Shortly after the handover, Ssemakula couldn’t hide his joy. “We are extremely happy to have received this free gift. Fortebet is the first betting company that has come to fight COVID-19 with us. This is indeed a very good gesture because it is a sign that Fortebet doesn’t only care about business but also the welfare of Ugandans. Thank you so much.”
After his words, Muhangi also added, “This is our policy as Fortebet. Always, from the little profits that we earn, we take off a portion and give it to where it is most needed. We chose to donate to this hospital because it was very instrumental in fighting COVID-19 when it peaked a few months ago and it is still handling some cases.
Away from the hospital, Fortebet also donated other goodies like phones, club jerseys-shirts, caps and balls to Katende soccer academy.
