One of the assailants suspected to have taken part in the murder of former Officer-in-charge Ruharo Police Post, Richard Agaba.
Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson identified the thug as Dick Tushemereirwe who was killed from Rugarama cell in Biharwe Division, Mbarara City North.
He is also an army deserter who is alleged to be behind numerous murders and robberies in the area and has been on the police’s wanted list.
According to Kasasira, Tushemereirwe is one of the suspects who allegedly killed Agaba. Police also believes that he was behind the robbery of for God Electronic Shop in Rukungiri.
Tushemereirwe was found hiding in Rugarama cell and when security personnel attempted to arrest him, he tried to flee, but was shot dead.
He was also the gang leader of the group that has been terrorizing people in Mbarara and Rukungiri. His accomplices have been identified as Dominic Twinomugisha and Kasim Ayebazibwe who are in Police custody.
